So now that the guys who keep me adequately supplied with Fables and Jonah Hex have moved to downtown Canandaigua and changed their name to Pulp Nouveau Comix, they've tried to participate in the various chamber-of-commerce/business-improvement-district-type promotions.

Well, this weekend, there are a lot of holiday-themed activities going on in Canandaigua -- a "Christkindl" market, the opening of the Festival of Trees at Granger Homestead and a local concert of the worldwide Tuba Christmas, plus a Holiday Art Walk involving downtown galleries, artists and merchants. Apparently merchants are encouraged to spruce up their store windows to make 'em like like Macy's Christmas windows.

So the Pulp Nouveau folks obligingly papered their window with red and green photocopies of head shots of Macy Gray and William H. Macy.

Just one of several reasons these guys get my business.
