CLOSING THE BOOK ON 2007
Jan. 4th, 2008 03:53 am'Cause all the Kool Bibliophiles are doing it ... and 'cause I meant to do so last week and never got around to it ... here be my listing of books read in 2007.
It's a fairly small list this time around, which is partly a function of time and the lack of same; partly a function of the thickness/density of some of these tomes (not all of 'em, some were pure quick fun); partly a function of the fact that the list doesn't include the long-form magazine pieces, online content (that includes all yr. LJs, naturally) and comics (though I've included a few trades and graphic novels). It's a varied batch, as that's how my tastes roll; sometimes I like to try something I know I'll probably not care for simply out of curiosity about the author and/or to see whether my suspicions were unfounded. (In the case of Paradise, they were pretty much founded.)
So here we go: ( THE BOOKS OF 2007 )
