I appreciate the logic involved and can see how it might be diverting -- once, maybe twice. But -- as with many nationwide fads -- I don't see how it could be anywhere near as compelling as its widespread nature would indicate. Seems to me as though if you've done one, you've done 'em all. Maybe there's a soothing factor to it, making it the puzzlish equivalent of mashed potatoes.
