BE ALL RIGHT, SING ALL NIGHT
Apr. 12th, 2010 12:40 am(Subject line, of course, filched from
ohiblather.)
I've arrived safely home from FilKONtario; observations and photos will ensue in good time, likely tomorrow. For now, a characteristically excellent con; my congratulations to the concom and to this year's Filk Hall of Fame inductees, Kristoph Klover, Mike Whittaker and Jan DiMasi. I regret not having been able to talk to or hear much from various people outside of their concert performances --
janeg,
phillip2637 and Urban Tapestry come to mind -- largely a function of three or four function areas hap'nin' at once. Highly enjoyed hearing Mike Whittaker in person for the first time, of course, and anytime getting to hear the Bohnhoffs makes for an excellent weekend.
My convention schedule for the remainder of the year tentatively includes Duckon, Confluence and OVFF.
Words: Byzantium by Stephen Lawhead
Sounds & Images: "Zombie" by Peter Alway -- that was an earworm for a good chunk of the early afternoon today, and then, lo and behold,
peteralway chose to close out the jam (excuse me, penguin preserves) with the song, which kept it alive in my head for another couple hours. For those uninitated, I won't spoil it, other than to say that more profound lyrics about the hideous undead were never written.
State O'Mind: Appreciative
